THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS JULY 31ST. THERE IS NO APPLICATION FEE.
Applicants must be nationals or residents of countries participating in the MEDIA Programme. Priority will be given to scriptwriters from Central and Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
The working language of the program is English, conversational knowledge of the language is required. The participation fee is €800 for each participant. Scholarships are available. Before applying please read the Guidelines.
Applicants must provide on-screen credits for at least one theatrical feature film, one television feature film or a television series (already produced) or must have extensive experience as a writer (poetry, prose, journalism) or a director with some writing experience.
The submitted script must be an original feature film, completed or nearing completion, and the shooting cannot commence before the end of April of the following year.
The script cannot participate in any other scriptwriters’ training program at the time of its participation in ScripTeast.

– motivation and expectations from participation in ScripTeast,
– the project’s estimated chances of being produced;

Once submitted, your application cannot be changed. We strongly advise applicants to apply (online) online well before the closing date. The ScripTeast webpage experiences peak usage in days leading up to the deadline and applicants may experience delays.
