Congratulations to Mr Sanford Lieberson, the 2012 CBE!

We are very happy and proud to be able to congratulate Sanford Lieberson, member of the ScripTeast Advisory Board, for being accepted to receive the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) title from Queen Queen Elizabeth II.

Sanford, long standing member of our board, is to be recognized by the Queen for his services to the film industry.

Over the years he has represented clients such as Sergio Leone, Richard Harris, Peter Sellers, Lindsay Anderson and the Rolling Stones. He formed Goodtime Enterprises, worked as an independent producer and worked for 20th Century Fox supervising such productions as STAR WARS, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and Bertolucci’s 1900, Ridley Scott’s ALIEN, and Werner Herzog’s NOSFERATU.

In 1981/83 as V.P. International Production, The Ladd Company he supervised: Ridley Scott’s BLADE RUNNER, Sergio Leone’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, Peter Hyams’ OUTLAND, Paul Verhoeven’s FLESH AND BLOOD, Richard Eyre’s THE BEGGARS OPERA.

Lieberson designed and introduced the curriculum for the Producers course and was Head Tutor of the Producing Department at THE NATIONAL FILM AND TELEVISION SCHOOL. He is currently: Chariman, Film London and Advisor and organisor for The Berlin Talent Campus, as well as involved with Escuela Internacional de Cinema & TV, North By Northwest The Media Programme for screenwriters and the National Film & Television School while developing film projects as independent producer.
