
“Vanishing Waves” goes international
Great successes in Berlin! The Lithuanian film “Vanishing Waves” directed by Kristina Buozyte picked up more international sales during the EFM in Berlin! The script was taking part in the 4th edition of ScripTeast.
During Berlinale “Vanishing Waves“ was picked up by Helios Films, who will release it in April in France, PFA for Italy, Aquelarre for Spain, Artsploitation for Canada, Artplex for Greece and Best Digital for Taiwan. The movie became one of the most successful Lithuanian films internationally in the post-Soviet period.
The script, written by Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper, was developed during 4th ScripTeast edition with help of Creative Advisors: Marco Caro, Jason Resnick and Tom Abrams. “Vanishing Waves” is produced by Lithuanian production Tremora headed by Ieva Norviliene in coproduction France and Belgium.
The movie was shown in Official Selection during Montreal IFF and FanaticFest and prized at Karlovy Vary IFF (Special Jury Mention), Neuchatel IFFF (Jury Prize) and Palic IFF (Jury Prize). It will also appear in a number of festivals in 2013 including the upcoming Official Selection in the Istanbul IFF, Jameson Dublin FF Ireland, Fantasporto FF in Portugal, Offscreen Belgique and Brussels IFF in Belgium, CPH PIX in Denmark and Fantaspoain Brazil.
