Lauren Mackenzie – has extensive experience in both film and television as screenwriter, script editor and creative producer. Her work as Development Executive with Accomplice Television, includes award winning drama series for RTE and BBC – Bachelors Walk and Pure Mule. Prior to that, she was senior story editor on RTE’S Fair City. She wrote several episodes of RTE’s drama series On Home Ground and The Clinic and co-wrote Na Cloigne, a supernatural drama for TG4. More recently she worked as Story Producer and then Series Producer(Editorial) on IFTA award winning Red Rock (TV3/Element Pictures/Angel Station) which was sold on to Amazon and BBC.

The Daisy Chain (2008), her first produced feature, was directed by Aisling Walsh and starred Samantha Morton. She is currently adapting Elizabeth McCracken’s memoir An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination for Seven Stories with Anand Tucker attached to direct. She has two further screenplays in early development with the Irish Film Board.

At present, Lauren is Deputy Chair of the Irish Writer’s Guild and a board member of Women in Film and Television Ireland. She also advises on the bursary award panel for Screen Training Ireland.
