Success of our Alumni – Jan Cvitkovic!

Jan Cvitkovic’s new film in the top three films at the Slovenian box office!

His slacker comedy SISKA DELUXE, has landed its place in the top three films at the Slovenian box office – for the second week in a row! Film will be distributed also in Czech Republic – premiere is scheduled for March 2016.

Jan Cvitovic has directed 11 films to date. He has won 12 awards and received 3 nominations at various film festivals, including the San Sebastian Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival.

Jan was a participant on the 2nd edition of ScripTeast in 2007. He worked on his script ARCHEO, which successfully produced went on to win numerous awards at film festivals. At the 14th Festival of Slovenian film, the film won Vesna Awards for three different categories: Best Live Action film, Best Director and Best Cinematography. It also won the title of Best International Feature Film at the 12th IFFI International Film Festival in Austria.

Few films manage to make it into the top three at the domestic box office. Congratulations, Jan!
