NANOOK by Simeon Ventsislavov and Milko Lazarov in postproduction!
The director Milko Lazarov is editing in Sofia at the moment. Shooting ended in April 2017 in Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. The director worked with local professional and non professional actors. The main cast is: Mikhail Aprosimov, Feodosia Ivanova, Galina Tikhonova, Sergei Egorov and Afanasy Klaev.
Mongolian production designer Agi Dawaachu, who is living in Germany for over 30 years, designed an authentic yurt, which was installed on the frozen Lena River. The film was shot by the DoP Kaloyan Bozhilov on 35 mm with anamorphic Cooke lenses. The movie was shot on extreme conditions. At the beginning of the shootings the temperature was below 30 C. The entire crew was equipted with Arctic clothes and shoes. The main part of the crew was Bulgarian who worked also with Yakutian cinematographers.
The movie is expected to be ready by the end of this year.
NANOOK will participate in the forthcoming CineLink Work in Progress of the Sarajevo IFF.

The project was developed within IX edition of ScripTeast and won the Krzysztof Kieslowski ScripTeast Award presented at Cannes Film Festival 2015.
Simeon Ventsislavov and Milko Lazarov worked on the script with the help of David Aukin, Jens Dahl as Crfeative Advisors and Tom Abrams as Head of Studies.
