Last days to submit a script for the 14th edition of the ScripTeast programme

The deadline for submitting project from Central and Eastern Europe to the ScripTeast programme organized by the Polish Independent Film Foundation is 31st July. During the fourteenth edition and over the eight months of the course screenwriters will be able to develop their fiction feature film projects under the guidance of world-renowned industry professionals.

 

The first session will be a week’s workshop that will take place in October, in Poland, where individual meetings will be held with well-known screenwriters, directors and producers. After that, there will be individual online consultations. Subsequent sessions, which will be combined with the promotion of the projects as well as of their writers, will take place at international festivals in Berlin (February 2020) and Cannes (May 2020). The Cannes International Film Festival will also feature the Krzysztof Kieślowski ScripTeast award.
ScripTeast is one of the most effective European film schemes, with forty one feature films produced that have been developed on the course thus far, together with seven more that are currently in production. In total, 210 screenwriters representing 17 countries working on 149 projects have participated.

 

ScripTeast is organized by Polish Independent Film Foundation, co-funded by Creative Europe – MEDIA Sub-Programme of the EU, Polish Film Institute, The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage – Found for the Promotion of Culture, Apple Film Production, in co-operation with the European Film Academy, Producers Network, European Producers Club, Transatlantic Partners, ACE – Atelier du Cinema European and Film New Europe.
